Living Deaf: A Transcription
Living Deaf is the complete transcription of the conversation I had with David Melling, the director of the Centre for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People. The conversation revolves primarily around the difficulties many deaf people face when trying to communicate with others. It also touches upon the types of deafness that exist, what distinguishes them, and, the ways deaf people commonly communicate.
The front covers design reflects the content within - the censorship many deaf people experience due in-part to their inability to communicate with non-deaf people.
This document is intended to appear as if it were a transcript, the kind you might find in legal circumstances for example. I wanted it to appear old rustic and that it had been photocopied many times.
